Waupaca had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Little Chute Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.
The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-11.
Peyton Carlson paced Waupaca's offense, picking up 21 kills. Carlson got some help from Taylor Kling and her 36 assists. Carlson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Waupaca's victory bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Little Chute, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. After both having extra time off, Waupaca and Luxemburg-Casco will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Little Chute, they will head out to face off against De Pere at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
