Basketball Game Preview: Dunmore Bucks vs. Old Forge Blue Devils

The Dunmore Bucks will square off against the Old Forge Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Old Forge will be up against a hot Dunmore team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Everything went the Bucks' way against Honesdale on Friday as they made off with a 97-77 victory. Given the Bucks' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Hornets are ranked 580th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brayden Canavan was a one-man wrecking crew as he posted 31 points. Carter Sload was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Old Forge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-31 win over Mid Valley. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Dunmore's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Old Forge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Dunmore ended up a good deal behind Old Forge when the teams last played back in February of 2025, losing 57-41. Can the Bucks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
