Pierce extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Nathan Gomez. The Bears simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Williams Yellowjackets 35-0 for which the team can thank Gomez, who rushed for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Pierce didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Colin Dye and Austin Jorge. Another thorn in Williams' side was Quin Stephens, who forced one fumble and made five total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Pierce's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Williams, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Pierce will head out to challenge Colusa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Bears their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Williams, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Los Molinos at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
