Volleyball Game Preview: Leopold Wildcats vs. Meadow Heights Panthers

The Leopold Wildcats will face off against the Meadow Heights Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Leopold can't be too worried about heading out to take on Meadow Heights: they just beat Portageville at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Leopold was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Meadow Heights made easy work of Oak Ridge on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted against the Blue Jays since October 24, 2022.

Leopold's record is now 26-7-2. As for Meadow Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season.

Leopold took their victory against Meadow Heights in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
