Recap: Oakwood Panthers vs. Coolidge Yellowjackets
The Oakwood Panthers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 55-23 victory over Coolidge on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-10.
Jacee Youngblood continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Neel, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Oakwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Coolidge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.
Oakwood will be playing at home against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Trinidad has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while the Panthers will arrive with four straight wins. As for Coolidge, they will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
