The East Union Urchins are taking a road trip to square off against the Baldwyn Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

East Union is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-27 victory over Mantachie. Winning may never get old, but the Urchins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was another big night for Drew Hollimon, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 165 yards and a touchdown on only 13 passes. Daniel Whitfield was Hollimon's top target, picking up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, while Baldwyn put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Walnut. Baldwyn really took it to Walnut for the full four quarters, racking up a 39-0 win at home. With that victory, the Bearcats brought their scoring average up to 26.8 points per game.

Baldwyn had a senior duo take command as Dy'Lan Johnson threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and Terrell Robinson rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Baldwyn was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Walnut only rushed for 63.

Baldwyn wouldn't let Walnut keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Baldwyn can thank Ridge Mask and Brandon Johnson for forcing both of them.

East Union's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Baldwyn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Thursday's game might be decided in the on the ground. East Union has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 200.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Baldwyn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 166.8. It's looking like Thursday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
