Volleyball Recap: Dulce Comes Up Short

Dulce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Hozho Academy Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

Dulce took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-21.

Hozho Academy found their leader in freshman Audrey Lee, who had four aces and three digs.

Dulce's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Hozho Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dulce is set to challenge their familiar foe Rehoboth Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hozho Academy will take on rival Ramah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
