Basketball Recap: Moon Area Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

Moon Area won the last time they faced Mars and things went their way on Friday too. The Moon Area Tigers walked away with a 64-54 win over the Mars Fightin' Planets. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Fightin' Planets are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Moon Area has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Mars, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Moon Area will face off against West Allegheny at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mars, they will challenge Lincoln Park Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mars is facing Lincoln Park Performing Arts at the right time seeing as Lincoln Park Performing Arts is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
