Volleyball Recap: Ozark Falls Short Against Ranked Nixa

Ozark faced Nixa in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ozark was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Nixa work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 26-24, 23-25, 15-10.

Ozark's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 29-2. As for Nixa, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

Ozark is taking a road trip to take on Waynesville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nixa, they will face off against Glendale at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
