Volleyball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

The Canton C-Hawks didn't have quite enough to beat the Parker/Marion Pheasants on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the C-Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pheasants 25-16 in the first set.

Canton actually scored more points across those five sets (106-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 15-13.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Parker/Marion, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will welcome Elk Point-Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Parker/Marion and Beresford will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
