Baseball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton fell victim to Clear Creek-Amana and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Clippers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cardinals haven't been shut out since back in June.

The loss snapped Newton's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-24 record. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-12 record this season.

Newton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they will square off against Xavier on Monday. The Saints will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Clippers surely won't give up without a fight.
