Basketball Recap: Macon County Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Macon County was the 77-60 winner over Northside when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Macon County Bulldogs fell to the Northside Eagles 53-47. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Fulks, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Solomon, who posted two points in addition to 12 boards and four steals.

Even though they lost, Macon County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 25 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Macon County's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. As for Northside, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Macon County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-30 win against Webster County on the 12th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 82-63 defeat against Veterans on the 10th.
