Football Game Preview: Reidsville Rams vs. Eastern Wayne Warriors

The Reidsville Rams will challenge the Eastern Wayne Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reidsville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Red Springs, posting a 44-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won eight games in a row.

Reidsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kendre Harrison led the charge by picking up 126 receiving yards and one TD. Another signal caller making a difference was Tyson Broadway, who threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Reidsville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ladonn Hatfield, Damarien Whitted, and Dionte Neal picked up one apiece. Reidsville got some further help from Kadence Pruitt: he picked up 3.5 sacks and made ten total tackles (7.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, while Eastern Wayne put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Southwestern Randolph. The Warriors blew past the Cougars 49-0. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Cougars are ranked 255th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastern Wayne's win came from a few key players Reidsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Izeiah Oates, who threw for 184 yards and four TDs on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 75 yards on only eight carries. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024. Tykel Battle was another key player, gaining 86 total yards and three touchdowns.

Reidsville's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Eastern Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
