Softball Recap: Pinkston's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

If Pinkston was riding high fresh off their 23-7 takedown of Kimball last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pinkston lost 14-2 to the Lincoln Tigers on Wednesday. The Vikings were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Tigers' pitchers proved too tough.

The defeat snapped Pinkston's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-10 record. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pinkston will square off against rival Conrad at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lincoln is set to challenge their familiar foe Wilmer-Hutchins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
