Volleyball Recap: Northeast Guilford Comes Up Short

Northeast Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Asheboro Blue Comets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blue Comets this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8, 25-9.

Asheboro was led to victory by Lydia Scearce and Emma Ingold. Scearce had three digs and three aces, while Ingold had eight digs.

Northeast Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Asheboro, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Northeast Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Asheboro, they will challenge Southeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
