Baseball Game Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Righetti Warriors

For the second straight game, Lompoc will face off against Righetti. The Braves will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Lompoc is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lompoc's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Righetti on Wednesday.

For Righetti's part, Jacob McMillan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. McMillan has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run.

In other batting news, Tim DeVan was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Righetti, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
