Recap: Penns Grove Red Devils vs. Cherokee Chiefs
The Penns Grove Red Devils lost against the Cherokee Chiefs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Penns Grove fell 45-38 to Cherokee. Penns Grove has not had much luck with Cherokee recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Penns Grove lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Giomar Conrad, who scored ten points. Conrad scored a full 26.3% of Penns Grove's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ka'Ron Ceaser, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Penns Grove now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cherokee, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Penns Grove will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Vineland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee and Westampton Tech will round out the year against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Westampton Tech has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
