Volleyball Recap: College Station Takes a Loss

College Station was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Tomball Memorial Wildcats. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Tomball Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keira Pierce led the charge by getting six digs and six assists. That's the most digs Pierce has posted over her last five contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Helmer, who had 12 digs and one assist.

College Station's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Tomball Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

College Station didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Steele on the 16th. As for Tomball Memorial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Deer Park on the 16th.
