Basketball Recap: Arcola Victorious

Arcola won the last time they faced Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond and things went their way on Monday too. The Arcola Purple Riders came out on top against the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights by a score of 48-37.

Despite the defeat, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sophie Monts posted 15 points and eight boards.

Arcola's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcola will venture away from home to square off against Villa Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they will head out on the road to challenge Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th.
