Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Comes Up Short

Notre Dame Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Bishop Fenwick Falcons. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20.

Devyn Koster paced Notre Dame Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Koster got some help from Annabelle Pierce and her 11 assists. Pierce was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Bishop Fenwick found their leader in sophomore Emerson Moser, who had four digs and three aces. Moser is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Bishop Fenwick, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Notre Dame Academy has already played their next contest (against Mercy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bishop Fenwick, they will challenge Mercy McAuley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
