Basketball Recap: College Park Extends Winning Streak to Four

College Park won the last time they faced Oak Ridge and things went their way on Saturday too. The College Park Cavaliers strolled past the Oak Ridge War Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 70-54. Winning may never get old, but the Cavaliers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead College Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Buckmon, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and three steals. Buckmon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ian Inman, who went 5 for 9 en route to 18 points and three steals.

College Park pushed their record up to 20-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points per game. As for Oak Ridge, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

College Park will face off against Grand Oaks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grand Oaks knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully College Park likes a good challenge. As for Oak Ridge, they will square off against New Caney at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Ridge is facing New Caney at the right time seeing as New Caney is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
