Softball Recap: Upperman Takes a Loss

Upperman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to the Clay County Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 last Friday.

Upperman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Tinch, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That hit was Tinch's first of the season. Brynn Wilken was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases.

Upperman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Clay County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Upperman will challenge Livingston Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
