Basketball Recap: Monterey's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Monterey won the last time they faced Red Boiling Springs and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 58-47 win over the Bulldogs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monterey to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tanner Brown, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 18 points. Vinnie Walker was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Monterey was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are 2-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Monterey's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Red Boiling Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Red Boiling Springs, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-22 loss against Monroe County on the 6th.
