Softball Game Preview: Lee Vining Tigers vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

Lee Vining hasn't had much luck against Lone Pine recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Lee Vining will challenge Lone Pine at 3:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lee Vining lost 16-6 to Desert on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lone Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Mineral County, falling 19-4.

Lone Pine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivanna Medina, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Lone Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lee Vining, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lee Vining suffered a grim 22-1 defeat to Lone Pine in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Lee Vining avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
