Baseball Recap: Columbus East Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbus East can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzly Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in April.

Columbus East saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J.D. Rotert, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Columbus East has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Franklin Community, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-9 record.

As of now, neither Columbus East nor the Grizzly Cubs have any future games scheduled.
