Volleyball Recap: Thunder Basin Falls Short Against Ranked East + How To Watch

Thunder Basin faced East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bolts fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 3-2. While the Bolts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Thunderbirds 25-13 in the first set.

Thunder Basin actually scored more points across those five sets (100-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-20, 26-24, 20-25, 15-6.

Despite the loss, Thunder Basin still got an impressive performance from Traecyn Hilliard, who had 21 digs and two assists.

Thunder Basin's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-4. As for East, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, Thunder Basin will face off against South at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East, they will square off against Evanston at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
