Preview: Stanley County Buffalos vs. Crow Creek Chieftains
Stanley County is 1-6 against Crow Creek since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Stanley County Buffalos will head out on the road to challenge the Crow Creek Chieftains at 3:00 p.m. Stanley County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
On Tuesday, Stanley County came up short against Gregory and fell 51-41. Stanley County has struggled against Gregory recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Crow Creek suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Winner 49-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Crow Creek has scored all season.
Stanley County dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Crow Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Stanley County beat Crow Creek 60-52 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stanley County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
