Springboro scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They never let the Springfield Wildcats onto the board and left with a 17-0 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded Springboro with their most commanding win of the season.

Katie Jonas tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Springboro got a massive performance out of Hannah Gardner, who went 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. Addi Burdick was another key contributor, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and a stolen base.

Springboro's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Springboro will challenge Northmont at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Springfield, they will play host again on Sunday to welcome Fairmont, where first pitch is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Fairmont will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Springfield surely won't give up without a fight.
