Volleyball Recap: Blair Comes Up Short

Blair lost against Platteview back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Emma Ammon paced Blair's offense, picking up ten kills. Ammon got some help from Olivia Wolff and her 36 assists. Madeline Chikos controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Maddy Stukenholtz was a one-woman wrecking crew For Platteview. as she had 25 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Stukenholtz has posted since back in October of 2024.

Blair's defeat dropped their record down to 20-13. As for Platteview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Blair will square off against Lincoln Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Platteview, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Ashland-Greenwood on the 21st.
