Volleyball Recap: Pequot Lakes Takes a Loss

Pequot Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2015.

Sauk Rapids-Rice can attribute much of their success to Emma Sundby, who had ten assists and eight digs.

Pequot Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Pequot Lakes will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Little Falls at 7:00 p.m. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Annandale on the 11th.
