Chalker came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the McDonald Blue Devils, falling 15-5.

Logan Smallsreed was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Chalker: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise.

Chalker's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for McDonald, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
