Soccer Recap: Episcopal School of Jacksonville Takes a Loss

Episcopal School of Jacksonville and Maclay squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Episcopal School of Jacksonville had to settle for second. They lost 8-1 to the Maclay Marauders. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 5-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Charles Devooght, who's now up to eight this season.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Maclay, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-1 record this season.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maclay, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tampa Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Tampa Prep sitting on six straight wins and Maclay on five.
