Soccer Game Preview: Kelso vs. Heritage

Kelso hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hilanders will look to defend their home pitch against the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m.

Kelso is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Evergreen. While losing is never fun, Kelso can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Evergreen are ranked 106th).

Heritage, on the other hand, haven't lost since March 20th and they too continued that trend. Their defense stepped up to hand Prairie a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. Heritage might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those ten games. As for Kelso, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
