Volleyball Recap: Dawson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dawson had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Penelope Wolverines. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Dawson was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8.

Dawson found their leader in sophomore Amanda Garcia, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Garcia.

Dawson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last six contests.

Dawson's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Penelope, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Dawson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Hubbard on the 23rd. Hopefully Penelope paid attention to the Bulldogs' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on September 5.
