St. Pius X had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Roswell Coyotes by a score of 13-9 on Saturday. With that win, the Sartans brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

St. Pius X got a massive performance out of Aubri Hooee, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Jordan Chavez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

St. Pius X always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roswell only posted an OBP of .375.

St. Pius X's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Roswell, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

St. Pius X has already played their next contest, a 13-12 loss against Artesia on the 8th. As for Roswell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-5 defeat against Piedra Vista on the 8th.
