Soccer Game Preview: Metter vs. Atkinson County

The Metter Tigers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Atkinson County Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Metter is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell just short of Dodge County by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Atkinson County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Lowndes on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Rebels have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
