Softball Recap: Dublin Lions vs. Millsap Bulldogs
Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Millsap Bulldogs, falling 24-7. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Haden Keilers was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and 13 unearned) runs off seven hits. That one earned run gave her a new career-low. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, one run, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles.
Keilers wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Salyer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Millsap, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Looking ahead, Dublin is taking a road trip to face off against Peaster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dublin has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Millsap, they will be playing at home against Tolar at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tolar is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
