Basketball Recap: Heavener Comes Up Short

Heavener lost against Pocola two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Heavener Wolves had to suffer through a 65-32 loss at the hands of the Pocola Indians. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Indians are ranked 21st).

Heavener's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Pocola, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

Looking ahead, Heavener and Muldrow will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pocola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
