Baseball Recap: Owensboro Catholic Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They never let the Henderson County Colonels get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Aces haven't had any issues with the Colonels recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lane Hundley looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Parker Heistand was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last nine games. Another player making a difference was Alex Hood, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Owensboro Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Henderson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.
