Campbellsport strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one run.

Campbellsport got a great performance from Owen Bong as he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Brody Nolan was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Cullen Reis, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Campbellsport's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average this season. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbellsport will venture away from home to take on Living Word Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they will head out to square off against Shoreland Lutheran at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
