Baseball Recap: Raytown Takes a Loss

Raytown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chrisman Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bluejays have suffered since May 8, 2024.

DeWane Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Raytown's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chrisman, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Coming up, Raytown will challenge Winnetonka at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chrisman, they will host Lincoln College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
