Softball Recap: Fallston's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Fallston was the 12-4 winner over C. Milton Wright when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Fallston fell just short of C. Milton Wright by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.

Mary Pfaff put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Alex McDougall was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That hit was her first of the season. Abby Marmen was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Fallston hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fallston fell to 5-1. As for C. Milton Wright, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
