Seffner Christian put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks as the Seffner Christian Crusaders made off with a 20-5 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Seffner Christian needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
Aliyah Reeder was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off one hit. Reeder was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Tenley Newman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Blethen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
On Santa Fe Catholic's side, Katie Covitz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Covitz is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Declyn Keyser was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all two of her plate appearances.
