Basketball Recap: Concord Spiders vs. Lake Norman Charter Knights
After flying high against South Rowan last Friday, Concord came back down to earth. The Concord Spiders took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Norman Charter Knights on Tuesday. The Spiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 75-67.

Despite the loss, Concord still got an impressive performance from Tyvonta Rushmeyer, who posted 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The game was Rushmeyer's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Gabe Stafford also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Norman Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braden Wilkie, who went 6 for 11 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Langston Holder, who put up 12 points and five boards.
Concord's record now sits at 12-7. As for Lake Norman Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Concord wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-56 win against West Rowan on the 31st. Lake Norman Charter has also already played their next game, an 80-75 loss against Northwest Cabarrus on the 31st.
