Softball Recap: Faith Lutheran Comes Up Short

Faith Lutheran had lost six straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-13 to make it seven. They lost 12-2 to the Bishop Gorman Gaels. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 6, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Mia Walsh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

As for Bishop Gorman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9-1 record this season. The result was nothing new for Bishop Gorman, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

On Bishop Gorman's side, CHARLIE SIMI was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was SAMANTHA LEFEVER, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Faith Lutheran will take on rival Green Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bishop Gorman is set to face off against their familiar foe Silverado at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
