Basketball Recap: Edniya White Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

On Tuesday, the University Tigers earned a 52-41 win over the Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

University got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Edniya White out in front who went 5 for 8 on her way to 14 points and seven steals. White has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalina Lambert, who posted 16 points and three steals.

University's record now sits at 12-3. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will face off against Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, they will square off against City University School of Liberal Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
