Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Beavers vs. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs

Cumberland lost against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Beavers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Cumberland actually scored more points across those three sets (54-50), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 10-25, 15-10.

Raegan Beecroft paced Cumberland's offense, picking up seven kills. Beecroft got some help from Natalie Anderson and her 13 assists. Hailey Paulson controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Cumberland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-27 record this season. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-17 record this season.
