Hononegah waltzed into their game on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They never let the Rockford Auburn Knights get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Peyton Klikno was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Kelly, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Hononegah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockford Auburn only posted an OBP of .300.

Hononegah pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Rockford Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Hononegah will head out to challenge Belvidere at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bucs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rockford Auburn, they will host Boylan Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
