Recap: South Caldwell Spartans vs. Watauga Pioneers

After a string of three wins, the South Caldwell Spartans's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The contest between South Caldwell and Watauga wasn't particularly close, with South Caldwell falling 69-51. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Caldwell in their matchups with Watauga: they've now lost three in a row.

Watauga was led to victory by Jackson Pryor and Cade Keller. Pryor scored 17 points, while Keller scored 23 points along with six steals. Keller continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Josiah Railey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

South Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Watauga, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

South Caldwell will be playing at home against Freedom at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watauga, they will head out on the road to face off against East Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
