Football Recap: Melrose Comes Up Short

Melrose lost against Burlington back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Raiders took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Burlington, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Melrose will challenge rival Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Burlington is set to square off against their familiar foe Stoneham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Red Devils 8.4, the Spartans 11.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
